In the experiment we made a short video about Tilt-shit & Forced perspective: Movie in two scenes. Scene 1: Tilt-shift toy town scene (shot from above) Scene 2: Forced perspective discovery: discovers that some objects are not what they seem. Test some observers (at least 3) by asking them to watch several versions of the scene and compare various “takes” in the movie for each of the scenes. For Scene 1: Shoot one version of scene 1 and then post process it into many versions of the same scene. Show pairs of these versions to subjects and record their responses for what manipulations make the scene the most “toy-like”. Compare pairs of scenes with different degrees of post-processed stop motion. For example, smooth motion, every other frame, every third frame, every fourth frame, etc. Compare scenes post processed with various degrees of tilt-shift blurring For Scene 2: Change the focus in 4 takes: Record with focus on actor Record with focus on object being discovered Record with focus always well IN FRONT the presently examined object Record with focus always well BEHIND the presently examined object
