Part 1: Mini-Lesson Plan Prior to going into your clinical field experience classroom thisweek, use the data received from the pre-assessment to complete the “Math Mini-Lesson Plan” template. This mini-lesson planwill be administered to the selected group of students to supportinstruction to meet the selected standards. Your mini-lesson should include: •Math standard, learning objectives, grade level, and briefdescription of the unit •Instructional strategy •Description of math learning activity that is directly relatedto the data received from the pre-assessment •Formativeassessment Part 2: Mini-Lesson Plan Implementation After completing the “Math Mini-Lesson Plan,” share itwith your mentor teacher for feedback. Provided permission, teach themini-lesson plan to the small group of selected students. During yourlesson, ensure you are answering questions from your students, askingquestions that support critical thinking and problem solving, andobserving the understanding from each student (this might requireformative assessments before, during, and after the lesson todetermine understanding). If you are not able to implement the lesson, speak with yourinstructor for an alternate assignment. Part 3: Reflection In 250-500 words, reflect and discuss the process of usingpre-assessment data to develop a lesson plan and on your experiencesteaching the lesson (if applicable). Consider: •How the data supported the planned instruction, selectedinstructional strategies, and differentiation strategies inidentifying strengths, meeting learning needs, and promoting studentgrowth. •The professional expectations to maintain privacy andethical use of assessment data. •After the lesson waspresented, modifications that supported the learning. •Howthis lesson supports short-term and long-term planning. APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected. This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginningthe assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
