Assessment 1: Local Knowledge Poster The main aim of this assessment is to produce a poster that critically evaluates the value of integrating local knowledge in Natural Resource Management. As with most of the NRM assignments there is room to interpret this in more than one way. You could, for example, critically evaluate methods used to acquire and utilise local knowledge. You could demonstrate how integration of local knowledge leads to different (and perhaps better?) NRM outcomes or you may want to highlight areas where an overemphasis on local knowledge can produce perverse outcomes.
