Length requirement: 8-10 pages Source requirement: minimum of three (academic) sources Format: MLA, Times New Roman, 12 font, double-spaced I would encourage you, for example, to find out things about the author—if you are able to use it to further your discussion. Do not, however, simply present a history of a writer’s life. It’s only analysis if you use the biographical (and autobiographical) information to extend, develop, and illustrate your position about the work or works you are examining. You could look at historical events, philosophical thought, or social implications that relate to the works. Use what you know and are interested in as a starting place.
